Khan case closed, Tariq tells Crocker
Daily Times, October 3, 2006
LAHORE: Pakistan made clear to the US on Tuesday that they would get no further details about scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan and the case should be closed, Geo television reported. The channel reported that President Pervez Musharraf’s top aide Tariq Aziz conveyed two other messages to Washington in a meeting with US Ambassador Ryan C Crocker here. The first was that Pakistan’s conditions for the purchase of F-16 warplanes from the US must be fulfilled. The second was that the US should respect the Waziristan peace treaty and use it as a model for peace in Afghanistan. daily times monitor
