An examination of charitable donations in the five weeks following various disasters since 2001 reveals that the floods in Pakistan haven't generated as much giving.

— Hurricane Katrina, 2005: $1.9 billion
— Sept. 11, 2001: $1.1 billion
— Tsunami relief, 2004-05: $900 million
— Haiti earthquake, 2010: $900 million
— Pakistan floods, 2010: $25 million
