Nine intelligence officials killed in Quetta ambush

LAHORE: Nine intelligence officials were killed and three others were injured on late Thursday night in Quetta when some unidentified men ambushed their vehicle at Zarghoon Road, Dawn News reported. The channel quoted police officials as saying that the officials were on vacations and that they were coming from Punjab. One of the injured officials is in critical condition, the channel reported. Soon after the incident senior officials reached the spot and started investigation. Talking to Aaj television, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Waheed Arshad said, “According to my information eight people were killed in the incident - seven were Pakistan Army personnel and one was a civilian.” daily times monitor
