RAWALPINDI: Tehrik-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that French and Dutch policy makers, Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) President Qazi Hussain Ahmad have provided solid evidence against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain.

Talking to reporters at Islamabad International Airport on Thursday, Imran Khan said he had handed over all the evidence to the British government, adding that British officials and policy makers were fully cooperating in the matter.

Khan said he is trying to have Altaf Hussain extradited from Britain to be tried and punished in Pakistan. He said there is evidence that the MQM chief was involved in affecting a breakdown in law and order in Sindh, the killing of Hakim Saeed and the massacre of 45 people in Karachi on May 12.

He thanked Nawaz Sharif and Qazi Hussain for providing evidence against Altaf Hussain and announcing that they would join him in filing a case against the MQM chief.

Imran Khan said he would make a “constitutional response” to the reference filed against him by MQM under articles 62 and 63. He expressed relief that the MQM had resorted to constitutional measures rather than killing him. nni
